We had a spacious two-bedroom unit that suited our group perfectly, and the self-catering kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. The location was fantastic, with a supermarket nearby, and the staff were warm and cute.

Location close to Picton harbour, the restaurant behind the motel, and other local eating and shopping places. Also, with Tavern through the gate that provides exceptional meals price.

The unit was clean and spacious, with a lovely outdoor area for our daughter to play. The nearby pool, although we didn’t use it, looked inviting. The only downside was the BBQ situation, but overall, I'd recommend this motel for families wanting to explore local attractions like the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre and the Marlborough Farmers' Market. We’d definitely stay again!

A Wonderful Stay at Cherylea Motel
I was pleasantly surprised by the lovely local restaurants that offered charge-back and room delivery options, making dining a breeze. What stood out to me was the beautiful, well-produced wines of the Marlborough region, which were showcased in a safe and informative environment. Staying at this motel allowed me easy access to wineries and shops while offering a spacious lounge area to relax in after a day of exploration.
Minor noise disturbances.

the owners were friendly and eager to help, making my family’s visit enjoyable. our room was spotless and the beds were quite comfortable. being conveniently located near a supermarket and a great restaurant made it easy for us to explore. we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay, and the availability of local activity brochures was a nice bonus.
Nothing major, but lighting could be better. 💡.

Review: The spacious upstairs unit was ideal, featuring clean bedding and a well-equipped kitchenette. The location, close to supermarkets and a lovely river walking track, offered great convenience. the bright lighting was quite harsh, and a bit of extra attention to cleaning would have made it even better. , rating: 8, date of stay: 2024-08-15}

Had a solid stay in the One-Bedroom Apartment. Super spacious, clean bedding, and a fab kitchenette. Only real downside was the shower pressure-definitely could use an upgrade. A nice spot!

The best and worst parts.
The swimming pool was fantastic,, and the expansive grass area provided ample space for children to play.
The bathroom door barely closed during use,, which was quite inconvenient.

Great experience overall. The One-Bedroom Apartment was spacious with clean bedding and a well-equipped kitchenette. Loved the swimming pool. It was a hit with the kids. Bathroom cleanliness was excellent, but shower pressure could definitely be better. The location made it easy to explore local attractions, yet noise from the main road was somewhat disruptive at night. Appreciated the cute attitude when we arrived late. Housekeeping was prompt, everything was tidy. If they could address the noise issue and improve the shower pressure, it would be perfect.

I recently stayed for three nights at a lovely motel while exploring the stunning region with my family. The check-in process was seamless, and our spacious three-bedroom unit felt like a cozy blast from the past. The room was spotlessly clean, complete with electric blankets and a well-equipped kitchen for our needs. Its convenient location allowed easy access to local shops and attractions, and the friendly hosts even provided us with a bottle of milk for our coffee. The outdoor space was perfect for the kids to play cricket, which they loved.
100% Recommend this hotel.

The facilities were impressive, offering everything needed for a comfortable stay. After an enjoyable wine tour, returning to a clean and cozy space was exactly what I needed to unwind. Accessing the room from either the garage or a previous office in the split-level house was convenient and practical.
The only minor drawback was the slight noise from a nearby street, which occasionally disrupted the peaceful ambiance at night. this was a minor issue and didn’t significantly affect my overall experience.
